چکیده
In this paper we present CELI's participation in Evalita 2011 FLaIT task. Based on Markov model reasoning, our system obtained the highest precision in comparison to the other participants.

EFL learners’ motivational beliefs and their use of learning strategies
The present study attempted to examine the relationship between English as a Foreign Language (EFL) learners’ motivational beliefs and their use of learning strategies. The three components of motivation, i.e. expectancy component, value component and affective component, were examined in relation to metacognitive, cognitive and effort management strategies. Tw...
متن کاملThe Impact of Training EFL Learners in Self-Regulation of Reading on their EFL Literal and Critical Reading Comprehension: Implementing a Model
Self-regulation is the ability to regulate one’s thoughts and actions to attain goals. Accordingly, self-regulated learning (SRL) involves plans and behaviors to achieve learning goals. With this in mind, in this study we investigated whether training English as a Foreign Language (EFL) learners on the basis of a Self-regulated Learning (SRL) model improved their literal and critical reading co...
متن کاملJoint Inference for Bilingual Semantic Role Labeling
We show that jointly performing semantic role labeling (SRL) on bitext can improve SRL results on both sides. In our approach, we use monolingual SRL systems to produce argument candidates for predicates in bitext at first. Then, we simultaneously generate SRL results for two sides of bitext using our joint inference model. Our model prefers the bilingual SRL result that is not only reasonable ...
متن کاملJointly Modeling WSD and SRL with Markov Logic
Semantic role labeling (SRL) and word sense disambiguation (WSD) are two fundamental tasks in natural language processing to find a sentence-level semantic representation. To date, they have mostly been modeled in isolation. However, this approach neglects logical constraints between them. We therefore exploit some pipeline systems which verify the automatic all word sense disambiguation could ...
متن کاملInteractions of Metacognition With Motivation and Affect in Self-Regulated Learning: The MASRL Model
Metacognition, motivation, and affect are components of self-regulated learning (SRL) that interact. The “metacognitive and affective model of self-regulated learning” (theMASRLmodel) distinguishes two levels of functioning in SRL, namely, the Person level and the Task× Person level. At the Person level interactions between trait-like characteristics such as cognitive ability, metacognitive kno...
